I see other hho dry cell web sites that say their drycells will run at 20, 30 or 40 amps
why do you recommend under 20 amps ?
We and our team of professional mechanics have run endless test with hho generators at different amps, both on the bench and installed in vehicles. First off after 18 or twenty amps the hho dry cells start to produce steam not HHO Gas. Second when installing your hho dry cell kit on the average vehicle, anything over 20 amps will start straining the alternator a bit, therefor diminishing the effect of the added hho gas (fuel mileage gain).
There is a very simple test you can perform with your hho generator to see if you are making hho gas or steam - simply hold the tubing carry the "hho gas out" on a pile of ice, if it forms water droplets it is steam not hho gas. THIS is what these Amassing 20 lpm videos don't show you.
What is a HHO Dry Cell ?
When Bob Boyce built his series cell, and then his sealed series cell,
Tero asked Bob Kind of "as I get it" how to build the sealed series cell. Bob Clarified these things to him and after that Every one thought it was a Tero cell..... Well some time later some guys started calling it the dry cell because you could actually pick it up while it was working and your hand would stay "dry" Thus , Dry cell.
Derr.. Then there is the open bath cell, stump-er question, yea well water all around total electrical leakage and on and on.
But the original Coined term of "Dry cell" I cannot tell you where it came from. The guy's that are selling and testing the dry cell are using open source so I do not think they even know this story about the Tero cell and BB!
I understand this has probably been rehashed many times, but what
electrolyte is best?
Most people are currently use KOH, there are newer better things coming out to use as Catalyst in your HHO generator all the time.
For the way to measure a 10% recommended mix for your
hho dry cell go here at the bottom of the page.
How do I refill my hho dry cell with water and how much?
The Dry Cell reservoir has a removable cap for easy refill. Just add your mixed electrolyte to the bubblier/reservoir you are using. After the first mix you only want to add water.
Why do I only add water to my hho dry cell system after initial mix ?
The Koh does not get used up in the electrolyte process, so if you add more electrolyte it become to strong and amps will rise.
Is a complete hho dry cell system difficult to install?
No, it is very Simple. All our dry cells and kits have complete detailed installation instructions delivered with them. See for your self here
- hho generator install it should not take longer than a few of hours.
Where should the Dry Cell be installed?
Anywhere in the engine compartment that is lower then the reservoir you will be using, but preferably in a place where it will have a constant airflow to help your hho generator run cooler.
I am trying to find the laws and regulations on the use of supplemental hydrogen systems (HHO) on vehicles both gasoline and diesel powered.
The hydrogen on demand systems that I am inquiring about are an on demand system. There is no storage of hydrogen, the hydrogen is generated through electrolysis. Use of these systems does effect vehicle emissions, but tests have shown for the better. Using the 5 gas analyzer to take readings the tailpipe emissions drastically improve.
Is there any laws or regulations on the use of these systems?
These mods come under the category of tampering with a federally-mandated emissions control system, if you tamper with the O2 sensor or MAP sensors, making it impossible to pass the under hood visual inspection component of many state smog inspections. To pass this under hood check, no part of the emissions control system can appear to have been modified or disabled.
This is a very gray area and there are a lot of loop holes. We pass smog and get our mileage gains with HHO generator and complete hydrogen on demand system intact and just a simple O2 extender.
Can I install a Hydrogen on Demand system on my Inter-cooled engine?
Important Installation Note:
At this time we do not recommend installing ANY HHO system or Hydrogen on Demand kit on inter-cooled applications:
UNLESS You can be absolutely certain that no corrosive electrolyte or excessive moisture is
entering the intake. Testing is being done by us and other hydrogen on demand enthusiast to determine/ensure that no trace amounts of caustic soda (or other electrolyte),which could damage the system, as well as accumulated water are entering and what effects these may have in the cooler core.
The small amount of water vapor put out by HHO systems and hydrogen on demand kits does not accumulate in engines because of the high heat.
In an inter cooler, excess water can accumulate. Additionally, no attempt should be made to inject HHO under pressure to overcome positive manifold pressure. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should HHO be put under pressure! This could create a Hydrogen BOMB. That is why you call it "Hydrogen on Demand", the HHO gas is to be used up as it is made.
I was reading about the hydrogen bubbles sticking to the plates on some Hydrogen on demand systems with HHO generators made with stainless steel plates and how
to get them to release by various means.. Wouldn't they just build up to a
certain point and knock each other off?
If you crosshatch your plates with coarse sandpaper then the bubbles will release early and easily. With the higher voltage or pulsing systems the bubbles will form in the water between the plates instead of on them.
Also, a certain amount of back pressure will keep the bubbles compressed and thus
allow more production with less bubble interference.
Do I need to turn the my hho generator off when not in use?
No. If you have followed our directions for installing an hho generator, then your unit should be connected to the ignition switch, every time you turn the engine off, the unit will turn off with it.
We highly recommend when installing any hho generator to make sure it does not run unless the car is running.
Can someone please tell me how to calculate the amount of NAOH crystals I add to distilled water to make an approximate 25% solution to run in my Hydrogen on Demand system.
First off when mixing a caustic solution. Please remember that considerable heat is generated when this mixing is done, so please follow Bob Boyce's safety precautions as recorded in Chapter10.pdf page 82, where he tells how to mix solotions for your HHO generators, especially the use of two separate containers.
However, you need to understand that the optimum "by weight" concentration for NaOH is not 25% while that for KOH is 10%. Water is about 7 lbs. These solutions have the lowest possible resistance to the flow of electrical current through the electrolyte you use in your HHO generators or Hydrogen on Demand systems.
If you are going to use higher concentrations you will almost certainly need a current-limiting device in your hydrogen on demand system, and most people would choose to use a DC Motor Speed Controller for this. The technical name for one of those controllers is a Pulse-Width Modulator or "PWM" circuit board and there are several suppliers.
Many hho electrolyzer designs avoid the need for a PWM controller by accepting a power loss and using the increased resistance of a weaker electrolyte solution to control the current flow. This has a slight disadvantage in that the resistance of the electrolyte drops as its temperature rises. So, the longer that the booster runs, the hotter it gets, the more current is drawn, which heats the electrolyte more, which lowers its resistance further ........ You get a slow "thermal runaway" and current draw increases to where it could be a problem. This will not happen on a short journey, but using a weak electrolyte as a current limiter in your hydrogen on demand device requires a certain degree of skill on your part. So, if you decide to do that, then start with an over-weak solution and over the course of many journeys, increase the concentration very slightly until you reach what you consider to be the best possible concentration for your situation.
Installation of Hydrogen on Demand ?
In summary, it requires mounting the HHO Generator, installing two hoses, and connecting a few wires. The Generator is ideally installed under the hood, but can also be mounted safely and effectively in the trunk. The Oxygen Sensor is also a simple electrical procedure. Total time estimation is under 1 hour, or 30 minutes for a professional. To ensure best results and safety, have a certified mechanic install your system or check your work before you put it into operation. The system can be removed without harm to the vehicle if you decide that you no longer want it.
What is a Map Sensor?
A manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP) is one of the sensors used in an internal combustion engine's electronic control system. Engines that use a MAP sensor are typically fuel injected. The manifold absolute pressure sensor provides instantaneous manifold pressure information to the engine's electronic control unit (ECU). This is necessary to calculate air density and determine the engine's air mass flow rate, which in turn is used to calculate the appropriate fuel flow. (See stoichiometry.)
How much Water is Used?
Very little. You could drive many weeks without having to add more. We advise to add distilled water once every week or two to ensure maximum gas production. If you drive the average of 2,000 miles per month, only 1 Gallon of distilled water, costing about $1 at grocery stores, is consumed in about 8 months (in a single cell system). If you want to make your own distilled water, units are out there for around $100, or you can find simple plans on line to build one.
How Can I Measure the Exact Savings?
Digitally: 1) The most popular and precise option, simply mount a device called a Scan Gouge on your dash. This connects to the vehicle's On board Diagnostic System and reports your mileage clearly! We offer these for $200 if you would like one. You can see this in action on the first Customer Experiences video. The only limitation is that the device will not work on vehicles older than 1996, so you will have to choose another option below.
2) There is also a device that connects to your Palm Pilot or Laptop and provides sophisticated diagnostic information. It is called Auterra Dino-Scan, and has the advantage of keeping records of your performance, including horsepower, torque, gear ratios, top speeds, etc, and will map the information for you over time.
Manually: On line there are various free calculators that will do the math for you once you plug in the numbers.
This is actually fairly accurate:
1. Go to the gas station and fill up the fuel tank.
2. Record the mileage, before even pulling away from the pump. We will call this Mileage A.
3. Drive normally until the tank is less than half full.
4. Fill up the tank again (preferably at the same station using the same pump as pumps may be calibrated differently). This time, pay attention to how many gallons it takes to fill up the tank and record this number.
5. Record the mileage again, just like before. We will call this Mileage B.
6. Subtract Mileage A from Mileage B. This will give you the number of miles you drove since your last fill-up.
7. Divide your answer by the number of gallons it took to fill up your tank. This will give you your vehicle's MPG.
8. Repeat this test again, this time with the Water Fuel System installed and operating.
9. To determine the percentage increase, divide this number by the your vehicle's original MPG, subtract 1 and multiply by 100.
In Equation form:
Fuel Economy (MPG) = New odometer reading - Old odometer reading
Gallons of fuel to refill tank.
MPG gain (in %) = New MPG x 100
Original MPG
Why does my HHO generator overheat ?
The most common cause is from over amperage from too much catalyst in the water. If you are using the Hydrogen on Demand system with Water4gas type generators it does help to add more HHO generators to drop the amps per unit.
What Maintenance do I do on my Hydrogen on Demand system?
Every one or two months remove the HHO Generator from it's holder and clean it with a toothbrush and tap water. Make sure that the engine is off and the Generator is cool before servicing. For extra safety, also remove the fuse to the battery connection before servicing. At the same time you will want to check all the hoses and electrical on your complete Hydrogen on Demand system for good connections.
Check the water level about every gas fill up, keep it about 1"- 1 1/2" from the lid.You must also add a small amount of standard baking soda when you add more distilled water. You only need 2 teaspoons of this per 1 gallon of distilled water. Premix it and keep a jug in your trunk or garage.
Will the HHO injection Damage my Vehicle?
No way! It will improve the health of your engine by cleaning it every day. Unburnt fuel deposits that build up in your engine will be removed, reducing wear and tear and increasing performance. There will be no rust from the Hydroxy gas produced by your Hydrogen on Demand system.
Will my Hydrogen on Demand system strain my battery ?
No to power the device the battery and alternator are not overworked by any stretch of the imagination. The Water Fuel System requires a very small amount of energy to operate: 1-3 amps, much less than your car stereo! Dual Cells draw 2-4 amps, while 6 Cell Packs draw only 5-7 amps. A 15 amp fuse protects the setup from drawing too much power. ( THIS ANSWER IS FOR THE WATER4GAS TYPE UNITS) NOT A GIANT 12" X 11" TWENTY PLATE UNIT.
Emissions?
Emissions are largely the result of unburned fuel. Since more of the fuel is completely combusted, these are reduced, to the same degree that your mileage is increased. The result of splitting apart the water is water vapor and oxygen, two totally harmless substances that may actually help to clean the environment. This significant reduction in emissions will help to reduce the harmful effects of poisonous pollution and climate change.
Performance Increase & Changes in Operation?
With this
Hydrogen on demand System more of your primary fuel will be completely burned, smoothing out and improving overall operation. You will almost immediately notice a significant reduction in engine noise, as a more complete combustion helps the engine to cycle correctly. For a period of about one month the engine will continue to remove built up carbon deposits resulting from unburnt fuel, further increasing your performance & mileage and reducing your emissions. Your valves and pistons, etc, will be free to operate smoothly, thereby reducing wear and tear. The acceleration and horsepower will increase as the engine will be operating more efficiently. Be aware of this as you may not have to push the pedal as hard as usual to take off!
Tax & Legal Considerations?
Your state, country, or region may require some fuel tax for alternative fuels. There may be other regulations advising on this type of fuel use. Generally after-market fuel injection systems and other efficiency boosting devices are sold and installed all the time, such as propane injection systems, without any tax or legal repercussions. IRS Form 8910 suggests how tax incentives are available for hybrid vehicles that reduce emissions by using hydrogen and other technologies. The seller is not held responsible for your understanding or adherence to these laws, and gives no legal advice.
My Vehicle's Warranty?
Generally everything that is not fuel system related will be completely covered as normal, however coverage to the engine may ultimately depend on the preferences of your dealership or warranty provider, so contact them directly to be certain. The Water Fuel System can be removed before the vehicle is serviced if you prefer. Be aware that your vehicle's warranty may be denied by using this system, although the system will actually be improving the performance and health of the engine.
Operate in Any Climate?
The System must be installed away from intense engine heat - more about this in the instruction Guide. In extremely cold weather, no need for concern of the glass jar breaking if the water freezes, because there is an outlet for any pressure that builds inside the jar. If the water inside freezes, simply allow your engine to run a few minutes before taking off - the electricity that powers the device will thaw the water effectively and safely.
Is using hydrogen on demand really a viable solution to high gas prices?
"Big Oil" has done everything they can to discredit this technology over the years. They pay chemists to point out that the equation doesn't work, due to the fact that it technically takes more energy to split water into hydrogen and oxygen (HHO) than what you get out of burning the hydrogen. While this is true, the fact is that your car is constantly recharging the battery through the alternator. . . something that happens as long as the engine is running, whether or not a Hydrogen on Demand Kit is installed. The natural mechanical energy of the engine is what truly powers the Hydrogen on Demand system by constantly recharging the vehicle's battery. The energy gained by burning the hydrogen and oxygen (hydroxy) in the combustion chamber is pure net gain.
Isn't Gas getting a lot cheaper than it was?
An interesting development in recent days and months is that the artificial shortage of oil is reversing. I personally think OPEC suppliers had tankers full of oil traveling the seas to keep from delivering the oil, and thus artificially supporting outrageous prices. However these greedy oil barons pulled it off we paid over $4 per gallon this summer, and now we see it below $2 in places.
I would like to believe that Hydrogen on demand systems took off like wildfire and scared them into lowering prices.
Does that mean there is no use for Hydrogen On Demand technology?
It seems the interest in Hydrogen on demand is decreasing, but this lowered price reprieve could be over fast as it came. Look at this reprieve as an opportunity to get ready for the next time the Gas prices are manipulated to unbearable ranges and get your Hydrogen on Demand system installed.
Will the Hydrogen on Demand Kit cause my engine to rust?
There is water naturally running through your engine now, if you look at your tailpipe while the car is running, you can see water drops and vapor that come out as a result of burning gas and condensation.
Can I generate Free energy in my car or truck using Hydrogen on Demand ?
Yes you can and don't let anyone convince you that you can't. You generate free energy by ENHANCING the EFFICIENCY of your poorly designed engine!!! Your engine uses 20% of the energy stored in that expensive fuel - and WASTES 80% for heat, pollution (unburned fuel!) and vibration. When you reduce waste by adding HHO gas with a Hydrogen on Demand system that's "free energy" for you!
How do I find the right Hydrogen on demand Plans ?
The most efficient HHO generator or hydrogen on demand plans come with support. Every engine is different and each Hydrogen on demand kit will need to be tweaked to get optimum performance. If your plans don't come with support you'll be tinkering for years. The best plans are well illustrated and come with tech support. You will also want to look for lots of testimonials from different types of vehicles in different climates. Anyone with decent Hydrogen on Demand plans is going to have tons of testimonials.
The Hydrogen on Demand Plans that we recommend Is of course Ozzie with Water4gas they are still the Kings of Complete Hydrogen on Demand systems.

What can I expect as far as gains in fuel economy?
Existing Hydrogen on Demand customers currently experience gains of
50% to as much as 125% or more. "Depending on size and type of engine,
weather, driving habits and what type of Hydrogen on demand system you
have installed. If you wish we can help you decide what Hydrogen on
Demand system is best for your application.

What is an O2 sensor extender ?
An O2 sensor Extender "backs" the O2 sensor back out of the exhaust pipe 3/4" so that the hydrogen on demand unit will produse the max MPG gains on your vehicle This also will turn OUT the check engine light if you are running open Cats. You need these extenders on all the FRONT o2 sensors NOT the ones behind the converters! It is very simple to install just unscrew your O2 sensor. Thread the extender in to the exhaust pipe then thread the O2 sensor back in.

Will I need an EFIE?
If you are installing your Hydrogen on Demand system on a auto or truck that is 1996 or newer you will have to trick the o2 sensor an that is what the EFIE device does,
FUEL SAVERS is the best place to get one.
I saw where someone was saying that brute force is not the way, I agree, I have been studying this for a few weeks. And, I already came to that conclusion myself. But what type of Hydrogen on demand system should I build ?
